Established in 1993, we are the Shropshire based suppliers of eyewear with an emphasis on quality, price and wearability. With over 100 years of combined experience in the optical industry you can rely on us for your practice staples, something a little bit different and everything in between.
Mirage remains a family business to this very day.
Our longevity in the market is proof of our credentials and one of many reasons why we are a trusted supplier to hundreds of opticians throughout the UK.
How do you differ from other suppliers?
Our incredibly successful “on-approval” model remains the same to this very day. Hand picked selections of eyewear are sent every month with something suitable for every patient. Keep the frames you like and return the rest using the prepaid label enclosed.
We do not employ sales agents or representatives meaning our overheads are kept to a minimum. Our business model allows us to pass our cost savings directly to you, whilst saving you valuable practice time in comparison to the traditional way of buying frames.
What type of products do you offer?
We have over 10 easily distinguishable in-house brands meaning you can rely on us for your practice staples, something a little bit different and everything in between. All of our frames are of fantastic quality, sourced from UKCA/CE approved manufacturers and offer value for money in an ever changing landscape.
How often will I receive frames?
You will receive a box of around 30 frames once a month. This box will always include plenty of new frames, meaning that there will be lots of styles which you have not seen previously.
This gives our customer base an easy and efficient way to keep up to date with current industry trends and fill any gaps in their current offering.

An invoice listing the price of each frame and for our stock control. This is not a request for payment and you will only ever be asked to pay for the frames you keep.
Is there a cost to receiving a collection box and looking at your frames?
No.
You only pay for the frames which you keep. Nothing more, nothing less.
No monthly fee.
Nothing added to the invoice should you keep frames.
All collection boxes are sent with a prepaid returns label so you can return any products which are not suitable.
We have been doing this since 1993, there is no catch.
What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no minimum order. Keep the whole box, keep one frame, send them all back (well hopefully not!)
How are the collection boxes of frames delivered?
All collections boxes are sent using a Tracked Royal Mail service, directly to your practice during working hours.
How do I return the unwanted frames to you?
Each collection box includes a prepaid returns label. Simply apply this sticker to the box and drop it off at your local post office.
Alternatively, you can book a collection via Royal Mail who will collect directly from practice.
How does the invoice/credit process work?
Each collection box will include an invoice. This is for our stock records and also acts as a price list. This is not a demand for payment.
Once the collection box is returned, we will credit any frames which were not retained.
The balance is then due 30 days end of month from the original invoice.
Statements are emailed at the end of each month so you are always up to date.
Can I order my own selection of frames?
Yes.
Once you have registered, you can order your own selection of 30 frames on approval via our website.
The process works in exactly the same way as explained above.
Do you offer a loyalty scheme?
Yes! For every frame you purchase you will receive a free frame voucher. These can be collected and redeemed at your convenience.
